Although annually approximately 'only' 1,700,000 kgs New Zealand Manuka Honey are produced, annually about 10,000,000 kgs honey are being sold worldwide as New Zealand Manuka Honey. Consequently most of the honey that is sold as Manuka Honey is fraudulence.

Regrettably it was necessary, due to the steadily rising cost of Manuka Honey and the expensive New Zealand dollar, to increase the prices of various Manuka Honey products with effect from 1 February.
